This year OSLS has a large number of students interested in starting a band instrument. OSLS owns some instruments that students may borrow, but the school could use more. Do you have a clarinet that’s been sitting in the back of a closet? Maybe your trumpet’s gathered dust for years in the basement? Your old high school flute could make music again in the hands of a fifth grader. Please consider donating your unused band instruments to the school. Contact Mrs. Roberts if you have any questions.

Theology on Tap is for college and career age folk (20’s & 30’s) interested in a more relaxed and engaging discussion and get together.

2014 Lutherans For Life National Conference – Matters of the Heart
October 24 and 25 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Grand Rapids, MI. The conference offers great speakers, wonderful workshops, and life-affirming fellowship! LFL’s aim is to help people better understand that the life issues are not political issues, but spiritual issues that have been politicized. We have what it takes to address Matters of the Heart—the Gospel of Jesus! We want people to see the connection between this message of forgiveness and hope and issues like abortion and assisted suicide.
Register online at the LFL website: www.lutheransforlife.org/conference/. Or if you cannot register online please call 1-888-364-5433 to register. The website provides a complete conference schedule, information on the speakers, workshops and plenary sessions. There are specific workshops for youth and singles.
We want to offer free housing to college students and to those that would not otherwise be able to afford to attend.
